Hi everyone! My name is Camille (she/her) and I'm majoring in Public Health Policy and minoring in Health Informatics. I'm thrilled to say that I am one of the GHREAT Board Members for this year and I have been in GHREAT for a total of 3 years. Joining this organization has been one of the most beneficial decisions for me-- GHREAT gives me the opportunity to advance my knowledge in global health, understand health issues and disparities among all different cultures, and provide essential research skills related to my passion in public health. I was also blessed to find a wonderful community within GHREAT; getting to work and collaborate alongside several other members who also are interested in health is inspiring. Aside from GHREAT, you can find me in Kababayan, and I am also an Ad Hoc Member for the Wen Undergraduate Student Council as well as a Learning Assistant for Professor Gideonese. In my free time, I love to journal, thrift, go to concerts with friends, cafe hop for some good matcha, collect (way too many) cute and mini trinkets, and cuddle with my Maltipoo puppy.
Hi I’m Jennifer, a junior majoring in Public Health Policy and proudly serving as a member and student coord for GHREAT this year. Since engaging in global health research during my freshman year with an amazing group of devoted and passionate student leaders in GHREAT, I found myself constantly inspiring and being inspired during the entire process. Global health is a diverse yet essential topic that needs to be addressed, and here at GHREAT, we strive to work towards spreading awareness about these health-related issues with the intention of protecting and maintaining the overall health of our communities on a community and global scale. I’m once again eager to be working alongside fellow GHREAT members and for all that we are to accomplish this year!! Outside of GHREAT, I like associating myself with the little joys in life, like enjoying a good ol’ iced latte, being artistically involved, or scavenging for new hobbies and interests! : )
Hi! I'm Ishana Das and I'm a 2nd year biological sciences major! I'm one of the GHREAT student board members this year and I'm super excited to continue being a part of GHREAT! I decided to join GHREAT because I wanted to learn more about Global Health issues and raise awareness about them. As a pre-med student, I wanted to learn the social and global side of health rather than just learning about the scientific side. As a returning member, GHREAT taught me how to research and analyze global health issues, and I've become aware of many different global health issues. I also joined GHREAT to learn how to be an advocate for people all over the world that are underserved in terms of health. I'm looking forward to learning about more perspective on health this year! In my free time, I love painting/drawing, playing my instruments, and listening to music. I enjoy reading, watching movies, baking, and going to concerts as well!
