Hello! My name is An Nguyen, I'm a first year, and I am a Public Health Science Major.I joined GHREAT because I came from a community heavily affected by vaccine hesitancy and misinformation, so this research project and topic is very important to me and something I truly believe in. I love art, and my main style is watercolor but I dabble in other mediums like acrylic, and digital animation. I'm a big comic book nerd, and I enjoy skating and drumming. I hope to become an epidemiologist someday.

Hello! My name is Alina Margaryan, and I’m a first-year International Studies major. I’m joining GHREAT because I am deeply concerned about global health challenges presented all across the world and believe that we should work towards achieving health equity for everyone. Global health demonstrates the interconnectedness of our world, and I’m excited to use this opportunity to understand where the importance of global health lies on the international scale as it will provide me with skills necessary to strengthen my ability in advocating for health equity across the world. Outside of academics, I love anything to do with nature– hiking, backpacking, watching the sunset– nothing brings me more peace. I also enjoy playing guitar, though mostly to myself and my immediate surroundings! I’ve also moved around a lot which has fostered my love for different cultures and traveling, which furthers my hopes to work towards better policy without borders.
